With the increased data and curriculum demands of the new Standard-Based Individualized Education Program (SB-IEP), teachers are given support in creating and collecting various student data to accurately pinpoint and write students' Present Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP).
They can create and set rigorous and measurable Annual Goals and Short-Term Instructional Objectives/Benchmarks (STIO/B) aligned to the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards as well as progress monitor those STIO/Bs and Annual Goals by learning how to define and calculate Sufficient Rate of Improvement (ROI). Through this one of a kind type of data coaching and instructional support, Special Education Faculty can ensure that all students have access to higher student achievement, and as a result, they can graduate from high school ready for a career and college
